Suno Tumhari Yaad Aati Hai
Tumhari yaadon ko tum zara samjha do na,
Kaha rakhun inhe ye bhi bata do na.
Tum toh chali gayi bina kuch kahe,
Sounp kar Dil ke zakham yun humein.
Tumhari yaad me bheeg jaate hai takiyein,
Khali si ghum rehti hai ye aankhein.
Tumhe hi dhundhti hai par tum milti nahi,
Bebas si hai intezaar ki raah me abhi khadi hai.
The Pain of Waiting
Kuch waqt nikal kar haqikat me aa jaona,
Sirf khwaabon me humein na satao na.
Yun waadon ko tuta na chhodo,
Yun apna muh humse na modo…
Lafz tumse kuch keh nahi paate,
Aur khamoshi tum samaj nahi paate…
Kya woh sab jhooth tha jo tumne kaha tha,
Ya woh sab sach tha jo tumne kiya tha…
Kaise keh dun mai tumse ki,
Tum par se yakeen tut chuka hai mera.
A Confession That Hurts
Tumhara intezaar karun ya aage badh jaoun,
Iss uljhan me kitna dukhta hai Dil mera.
Agar kabhi laut aao toh sachha ban kar lautna,
Ye dusri baar jhooth ka samna humse na hoga.
Suno tumhari yaad aati hai,
Bohot aati hai har roz aati hai,
Kya tumhe bhi meri yaadein aati hai…?
Khair chhodo galat sawal puch liya maine.
Just present your memories, won’t you?
Where should I keep them, don’t tell me this too…
You left without expressing anything
By handing over the wounds of the heart to me like this…
Pillows get wet in your memory,
These eyes ramble around empty…
I search for you but do not find you,
It is helpless shelving, there is still a link in the way…
Take some time out and come back,
Don’t bother me just in dreams.
Don’t leave your promises broken,
Please don’t turn your face away from me…
Words can’t be able to tell you anything
And you don’t understand silence…
Was it all a lie that you told,
Or was all that you did true…
How can I tell you that
I have lost my faith in you…
Should I wait for you or go ahead
My heart aches so much in this confusion…
If ever you come back, then come back true.
We will not face this lie for the second time.
Listen, I miss you
It comes a lot, it comes every day,
Do you also miss me…?
Well, leave it, I asked the wrong question.
Written by Aamina Khan
“Some absences don’t scream, they whisper. They live quietly in your pillow, in your chai cup, in the late-night silences. This poem is a letter I never sent because some feelings don’t need a reply, they just need to be said once and remembered forever.”
