Ankhon Se Utar Kar Kya Uske Lab Milenge Ye Barish

Ankhon se utar kar kya uske lab milenge ye barish
Har roz ek sikayat liye kya uske sabab milenge ye barish

Bas yuhi tadaptii hun mitti jaise inpe koi bazm-e-inaayat nahi
Hoga kabhi daur to har waqt uske roz-e-shab milenge ye barish

Tum kyu puchte ho ab haal-e-khayal ke chupana hai mujhe
Sawaal pe sawaal honge uspe usse jab milenge ye barish

Bhiige bhiige se rehte hai mere harf kagazon pe utar kar
Ek khat pe kaee khat puchte ke usse kab milenge ye barish

Tez hawa ki tarah ho tum kuch nahi dekh sakoge
Zameen ko asaman kar usse tab milenge ye barish

Honton pe khila hua tabassum kese bhaala koi jane gham-e-zindagi
Mariz-e-mohabbat ke hatho mai jam-e-sharab milenge ye barish

A Gentle Reflection on the Ghazal

Ankhon Se Utar Kar Kya Uske Lab Milenge Ye Barish is not just a poem about rain. It’s about moments that pass quietly, the kind that stay behind in silence. It speaks of waiting without knowing, loving without promise, and questions that stay unanswered.

The rain in this ghazal feels like more than just weather. It feels like a thought that keeps coming back, like the feeling you get when you remember someone in the middle of an ordinary day. It is soft, unspoken, and full of longing.

Each couplet holds a feeling that hasn’t been fully said out loud. There is a tenderness in the way love is remembered, a stillness in how it is missed. Some lines feel like prayers, others like letters never sent. And yet, they all feel close to the heart.

This poem doesn’t try to solve anything. It simply sits with the feeling, letting it speak. Like quiet rain falling on empty streets, asking softly if love will ever meet love again.
