Muntazir-e-diid-e-rukh-e-yaar ke samne bazm-e-jahan kya hai
Tumhe dekh ke phool khule mere raz-e-nihan kya hai

Tu mah-o-mehr-o-kavakib ke tarah tu mera ham-rahan bana
Ae-khushi tu bata ke mere dil-e-haal ke aur nishan kya hai

Mafhuum-e-mohabbat se kon hai waakif
Ye bhoore aankhon ke andaz-e-bayan kya hai

Kabhi lafz theherte nahi aur kabhi hum gum-sum ho jate
Tumhe dekhte zinda hote bolne aata to batate jaan-e-jaan kya hai

Sahar-khez jesi khilti tum bade tasleem ke sath uthate tumhe
Tum to sath mere waha bhi chale jaha zamiin-o-aasmaan kya hai

Zaat-e-haq se mohabbat hai ke usne aisa rang-o-ruup banaya
Tum mere harkaton ko padhna ye hunar-e-zabaan kya hai
