What Pain Teaches

You speak of peace
as if it were something
the world has forgotten.

But peace was never lost.

It was buried
under the weight of comfort
until pain comes
to remind you it exists.

People do not change
when they are told the truth.

They change
when the truth breaks them.

A man who has never suffered
will call kindness a choice.

A man who has suffered
will call it survival.

You ask why the world is cruel.

The world is not cruel.

It is honest.

It gives you exactly
What you refuse to understand
again and again
until you do.

Pain is not your enemy.

It is the teacher
you never wanted.

It strips away illusions.
It burns away pride.
It leaves you standing
with nothing but yourself.

And most people
Fear that moment.

Because without distractions,
without noise,
without someone else to blame

You finally see
who you are.

Some will break there.

Some will grow there.

That is the difference
between those who repeat suffering
and those who end it.

Do not pray
for an easier life.

Pray
for the strength
to understand it.

Because the moment
You understand pain

is the moment
You stop becoming its victim
and start becoming
its answer.
